Affiliate marketing vs e commerce Secrets
Many beginners looking for ways of making money online look into one of these paths. When we compare affiliate advertising versus e-commerce, both have their pros and cons. Either may be a great start for a newcomer. I've done both and decided to concentrate my time with affiliate marketing. In this video I'll explain the benefits and pitfalls of affiliate marketing vs e-commerce that will assist you decide for yourself.
Although I moved from e-commerce to affiliate marketing, I believe e-commerce is awesome. If you're planning to go all into it, then do it up. You may make a ton of money and that I know a good deal of people that are making a lot of cash with e-commerce. But personally, I chose to go into affiliate marketing for a couple different reasons. If you are a newcomer with making money online, I would urge affiliate marketing and I'll explain why in this video. I feel like it is an easier start for someone attempting to make money online.
I had a couple e-commerce shops on Shopify. There's different ways to begin e-commerce. Many people buy big stock upfront, others do white tagging or private labeling, etc.. I had been doing drop shipping. I was sourcing my merchandise from AliExpress. It is sort of like Amazon but with a lot of providers selling items for cheap. When you are drop shipping, you have a deal with the provider that when a customer purchases from you through your e-commerce store, the supplier will send directly to the customer. You don't ever need to hold inventory.
The wonderful thing about e-commerce compared to affiliate marketing is e-commerce provides you full control over everything related to your business. For instance, it's completely up to you what costs you wish to set your goods at. The only thing that you need to make sure is you're not going to a loss. Provided that you're doing this, you can set whatever price you want. The extra benefit of this is you can also produce special earnings, give out discounts, etc as much as you desire. That isn't true with affiliate marketing because you're promoting other peoples' products. They set the price and you generally can't make your personal discounts or deals. It is up to the person selling. You are just referring customers.
Sometimes when you are a part of affiliate marketing applications, they also set other limitations on where you can promote, the way you can promote their goods, etc.. With e-commerce you have complete freedom. While in online affiliate marketing, there may be some restrictions you are going to have to take care of.
Another thing I enjoy about e-commerce is, as long as it is possible to sell your merchandise, you get complete flexibility. You can pick from an endless supply of goods to dropship or retailstores.
Alright, so now why I proceeded on to affiliate marketing...
You will find a couple struggles that include e-commerce that you often don't realize you will face when you're first getting started. One is the prices. Affiliate marketing vs e commerce Drop shipping is probably the lowest cost means of e-commerce. A lot of individuals look at it like it is a"no-cost" way but that is not true.
The distinction between e-commerce and digital products or affiliate advertising is with the latter , your budget is all but only advertisements. There aren't many prices outside of this, so you have to keep everything else. And if you are doing affiliate marketing, then you don't even need to create the item. You're referring people to other goods.
For instance, I'm an affiliate using ClickFunnels (among other programs). Let us say it costs me $50 to get a person to sign up for ClickFunnels. I understand I'm going to get a monthly recurring commission with that person of about $50/month.
